ALL three local netball leagues got to work at the weekend.
In a split round for the Gippsland League, eight of 10 clubs hit the court.
After four quarters, nothing could separate Traralgon and Sale, finishing in a drawn 38-all contest at Sale Oval during Round 5.
The Maroons supporters would have been shocked if they arrived onward from the first quarter, as Traralgon trailed by nine goals come the first break.
The visitors slowly began to eat into the deficit, reducing the margin to four goals by the time of the main break.
In returning, Sale was not willing to let the momentum continue to go Traralgon's way, resulting in the Magpies heading into the last quarter ahead by six goals.
Disappointed by how the game had played out already, the Maroons went through the final term with a fiery and pressuring defence.
Despite each team's efforts, the game concluded in a stalemate.
Indiana de Dios was best-on-court for Traralgon, followed by veterans Bronwyn Tebb and Stacey Jacobsen.
Eve Sabell shone for Sale with 26 goals, with additional support from Jessica Gerrand and Ashleigh Keefe.
Morwell was outdone by Leongatha, 52 to 43, at Morwell Recreation Reserve.
During the showcase match during the Tigers' Pink Ribbon Round, the home side, wearing pink on this occasion, got to work with a five-goal lead.
The Parrots quickly negated that start to tie up the game heading into the main halftime break.
Once Leongatha got into a groove, that was all that was needed to see them continue on to a win through the latter two quarters.
Izabella Rosato was best for Morwell, followed by Chloe Radford and Edie van der Velden, while Isabella Bettridge added 32 goals.
Amy Scott led the charge for the Parrots, alongside Jayde Hall, Gemma Meadley and Stacey Giliam.
Other results saw Bairnsdale pip a late win over Wonthaggi, 38-37 at Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve and Maffra got it done over Warragul, 52-42 at Western Park.
The Gulls, who've played off in the last two A Grade grand finals, are yet to win a game this year.
