Board of Management: Chair Update

Alinta Energy Gippsland League chair Brett Tessari has handed in his resignation from the Board of Management effective immediately. Tessari is stepping aside from the chair role and the Alinta Energy Gippsland League board of management to pursue a full-time position working externally within the community football and netball industry.

Member club executives and the Board of Management were advised earlier this morning that notice had been received as per section 56 of the constitution that Tessari would be vacating his role effective immediately. "After much thought I have accepted a full time role in community football and netball. This in no way has any other reasoning but it is a new challenge for me and a change in direction career wise. I have enjoyed my time in the chair role and i have nothing but respect for the the entire board, Daniel and the administration staff" Tessari noted in his resignation letter.

Under section 57 of the constitution the vacancy of the chair role left by Tessari will be filled in the interim by current vice chair Andrew Livingstone. The transition and updated board member roles will be formalized in the new year at the next board meeting. The operations for member clubs will not be impacted during this transition as these requirements function through the administration and business operational departments.

The Alinta Energy Gippsland League thank Brett for his efforts in his time as chair of the Board of Management and as a member club President. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
