Gippsland Interleague Carnival

Gippsland League will participate in the 2025 Gippsland Interleague Carnival this Wednesday, 9 July, at Morwell Recreation Reserve. The League will be represented in both Under 18s football and 17 & Under netball, taking on Mid Gippsland, North Gippsland, West Gippsland, and Ellinbank & District throughout the day.

The carnival is to showcase Gippsland’s top emerging football and netball players through a coordinated representative event. It aims to strengthen regional pathways, celebrate community sport, and foster greater collaboration between leagues across the region.

An Overall Carnival Champion will also be named, based on the combined football
and netball results. AFL Victoria & Netball Victoria will present a perpetual trophy to
the winning league in recognition of this achievement.

Football Schedule
Under 18 football matches will be played over two halves, each lasting 18 minutes. There will be a five-minute half-time break, bringing the total match duration to 45 minutes including breaks.

Netball Schedule
17 & Under netball matches will be played over two halves, each lasting 12 minutes. There will be a three-minute half-time break and three minutes between each match, with a total match duration of 30 minutes including breaks.
