Gippsland League Talent Recognised in 2027 Netball Victoria TID Squads

A strong group of Gippsland League club players have been recognised through Netball Victoria’s Talent Identification Program, earning selection in the 2027 TID squads.

Netball Victoria conducts Talent Identification at pathway competitions and tournaments, with talent scouts assessing athletes for future opportunities within the Netball Victoria Talent Academy and Victorian 17/U and 19/U state programs.

The program provides an important pathway for emerging netballers, with identified athletes gaining the opportunity to progress their development and be considered for higher-level academy and state team environments.

Gippsland League clubs were well represented among the selected athletes, with players from Bairnsdale, Leongatha, Morwell, Sale, Traralgon and Warragul recognised.

Bairnsdale had a strong showing, with Macy Brodribb, Ashtyn Stone, Lucy Emslie, Mia Booth, Piper Crawley, Roxie Jackson and Tulli McLeod all selected.

Leongatha was also well represented, with Anika Edwards, Ainsley Logan, Jemma Rump and Kobie Effern earning selection.

Morwell players Millie Pigdon, Amelie Harper and Sophie Wilhelm were named, while Sale had Arabella Fowler and Elle Aurisch selected.

Traralgon had Georgia Blythman, Ella Connolly, Emily Sawyer and Marley Rodger recognised, while Warragul players Sapphire Pratt and Bella Senini were also selected.

The selections highlight the continued strength of netball talent across Gippsland League clubs and the broader region, with many athletes also connected to local associations including East Gippsland, Bairnsdale Netball Association, Sale Netball Association, Leongatha & District Netball Association, Traralgon Netball Association and Warragul & District Netball Association.
