Gippsland League enjoyed a successful day at the Gippsland Interleague Carnival, with both the football and netball sides going through the carnival undefeated at Morwell Recreation Reserve. The football side won all four matches in dominant fashion, while the 17 & Under netball team finished with four wins and a draw to cap off an impressive day for the league’s representative programs.
FOOTBALL:
Gippsland League interleague side produced a dominant undefeated campaign at the WorkSafe AFL Victoria Representative Games, winning all four matches at Morwell Recreation Reserve.
Gippsland League showcased its depth and consistency, with Jayden Burns, Hudson Anderson, Jasper Shone, Brodie Adams, Cooper Leighton, Beau Cottrell, Fraser Aubrey and Lachlan Ainsworth among the key performers throughout the day.
Wonthaggi Power’s Jasper Shone was awarded the AFL Gippsland Player of the Carnival, while club teammate Jayden Burns was acknowledged as Player of the Final.

Coached by Morwell's Claire Marks, the team displayed consistency, depth and strong teamwork throughout the carnival, recording four wins and one draw across the day.
