2025 Gippsland League U18 Interleague Squad Announced

The Gippsland League is pleased to announce the initial squad of players selected to trial for the 2025 Under 18 Interleague team.

Following a strong response from clubs across the league, a thorough review of all nominations has been completed, and a talented group of players has been selected to begin preparations for this year’s Gippsland Interleague Carnival, set to take place on Wednesday, 9 July at Morwell Recreation Reserve.

To be selected, players must be eligible either in the Thirds or top-age Fourths and must not have been selected to represent Gippsland Power in the Coates Talent League during the 2025 season.

This year’s Interleague program will be led by Boyd Bailey (Morwell) as Head Coach. Supporting him are Assistant Coaches Riley Baldi (Moe), Ryan Sparkes (Wonthaggi Power), and Cade Maskell (Leongatha)—a high-calibre team bringing a wealth of experience from senior premierships to individual accolades like league MVPs and Team of the Year selections.

Training and Key Dates

The squad’s first training session will be held on Monday, 2 June at Morwell Recreation Reserve, with weekly sessions to follow in the lead-up to the carnival. Full training details will be provided directly to players via the email address linked to their PlayHQ accounts.
