Gippsland League’s junior netball representative teams proudly represented the league at the 2026 Association Championships at Monash Reserve on Sunday, 14 June.
The league’s 13 & Under, 15 & Under and 17 & Under teams each competed strongly throughout the day, gaining valuable representative experience against associations from across the region.
The 13 & Under team recorded wins over East Gippsland FNL, Sale NA and Mid Gippsland FNL, while also playing out a draw with Moe District NA in a competitive Championship division.
The 15 & Under team also produced a strong campaign, finishing with five wins, one draw and three losses across its nine matches. Gippsland League recorded impressive victories over North Gippsland FNL, Sale NA, Mid Gippsland FNL, East Gippsland FNL and Ellinbank District FNL.
The highlight of the day came from the 17 & Under team, who claimed the 17 & Under Champ A/1 title after an outstanding finals series. After finishing the round matches strongly, Gippsland League defeated Bairnsdale NA 21–6 in the Semi Final before overcoming West Gippsland FNC 17–11 in the Grand Final.
The 17 & Under team’s victory also sees Gippsland League progress through to the Association Championships Finals Day, to be held on Sunday, 21 June 2026.
Gippsland League congratulates all players, coaches and support staff on their efforts across the day, and wishes the 17 & Under team all the best as they continue their representative campaign.
