Gippsland League is a non for profit sporting association that operates under a board of management that employ a buisness operations and administration to manage the Association and League competitions. Gippsland League is proudly overseen by people all based within the Gippsland region.
Board of Management
CHAIR - Andrew Livingstone - Based in the Latrobe Valley with previous experience as a coach and administrator at junior and senior level in the TDJFL, Alberton League and Gippsland League. Previous Gippsland League junior interleague coach with a wealth of administration experience including Club President and sponsorship roles.
VICE CHAIR - Jodi Galea - Based in the Latrobe Valley and has been involved in netball at the Gippsland League since 2017 in roles such as financial administration, representative selection, coaching and appointment of coaches. Assisted in coordinating Gippsland League representative netball programs over the past few years including Association Championships, Eastern Zone Premier Netball Competition etc.
GENERAL MEMBERS
- Dean Benson - Based in Sale with experiences as a former President and involvement in local football and cricket at all levels from playing, coaching and administration. Successful family business and relied upon within the local community for financial direction on specific projects.
- Renae Littlejohn - Based in South Gippsland with a wealth of experience at a variety of levels in football & netball, from junior clubs to senior club to league level. Strong background incorporate governance as a director in the South Gippsland Shire Council
- Greg Maidment - Based in the Latrobe Valley with a vast experience based in League governance. Former Gippsland League chairman and has been a part of a variety of local panels including AFL Gippsland. Strong background in football as a player and administrator.
Administration
Gippsland League operates it's own business and operational structure which manages the 10 competitions, League events and operations of the Association.
GENERAL MANAGER - Daniel Heathcote - Based in Baw Baw Shire now entering a eighth season with the Gippsland League. Has overseen an number of key growth areas with the Gippsland League and will continue managing business, financial and competition operations under the new board of management for 2022. A Gippsland local with professional experience at Tennis Australia in Event and Media Operations and in Club Development at Bass Coast Shire Council and Business Management at Prime Creative Media.
OPERATIONS MANAGER - Brandon Milburn - Based in Latrobe Valley, Brandon comes to the Gippsland League tertiary qualified in Sports Management and has been working at AFL Gippsland as the League Manager for the West Gippsland FNC. He has also played a key hand in delivering several football programs in the region including the AFL Gippsland All Stars academy, Junior Interleague and Gippsland’s V/Line Cup teams. Brandon oversees the competition operational requirements for the League and aims to provide greater support to our volunteer administrators.
NETBALL ADMINISTRATOR - Carlie Dwyer - Based in South Gippsland with a vast experience in netball and the Gippsland League. Carlie oversees a number of areas under netball administration, representative programs and finals operations.
UMPIRE OPERATIONS - Peter Carey - Based in Baw Baw with AFL experience as a field umpire and various umpiring administration roles including as Head of Umpiring for Eastern FNL and in basketball.
